Websites Aren’t Hard!

Fun fact: I like websites.

About a month ago I went to a Squarespace event and spoke to some Melbourne website designers and it got me thinking.

Website building was once all code and no aesthetic, and the size of entire rooms... or so I’m told. Now they fit in a pocket or a bag. Now, website creation is a recipe of ingredients.

A litre of creativity;
a few hundred grams of customer-centric thinking;
garnished by good layout design;
stuck together with the sauce of storytelling.
All this unites to effectively ‘speak’ to your people out in the world wide web.

I’ve been building websites on Squarespace for several years now… so why do I think it’s the best for my type of clients at Social Star?

To begin with, it's empowering. It’s your brand and your website. You should be able to touch and feel your brand as a business owner. A good website is tactile and sensory. Squarespace is a platform that has that without sacrificing flexibility in design.
It is also secure without you lifting a finger because Squarespace does it for you!

You can custom code… or not. If you want some features you can add them with plugins or code but you don’t have to to have a beautiful design.

Customer support; talk to real people really fast… got a problem? they’ll fix it no worries.
Forums; got a question? likely someone else has asked it already and you can find it on the online forum.

Ok. Squarespace fan-girling over.

In all seriousness
Accessible tools are at our fingertips!

There's really no excuse for bad website design or functionality
In the ‘digital age’ your website is your business ambassador and if it’s outdated and clunky…
Well, that doesn’t say great things about your business.
